Haliburton Forest Festival
August 19, 2009
Tomorrow marks the start of the Haliburton Forest Festival?four days of fantastic music in Ontario?s beautiful Haliburton Forest. Paul is set to hit the stage at the Logging Museum twice this year: once (08/20, 8:00pm) with The Porkbelly Futures for a concert, and again (08/22, 2:00pm) for an event called Words & Music with Paul Quarrington and the Porkbelly Futures. For the serious fans, news of a surprise appearance has leaked so you?ll be able to catch Paul and PBF on stage one more time this weekend, doing a guest appearance with the Forest Festival Brass at 8:00pm on Saturday night.

Hello Paul (&/or support staff)
Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed you and your Porkbelly Futures at the Haliburton Forest Festival. Your poetry and songs painted a picture for me in my mind’ s eye. Thank you for the most wonderful entertainment. I very much enjoyed your appearance with the Forest Festival Brass and Stuart Laughton. (I was fortunate to be visiting a school friend at her cottage on Kennisis Lake that weekend. (We were all sitting front row for each performance!!)
I heard your interview on CBC, Radio One, on Labour Day and was very touched yet again by your words and the journey that you now find yourself embarked upon. Life gives us such challenges!! I feel that I have just met you. I am off to my public library here in Georgetown to get one of your books!
Enjoy gazing up at the stars and know that you have your family, friends, old fans and newly acquired fans supporting you and gazing up at those stars with you.
Kindest wishes,
Sheila
